Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for QuizLegion players is the game's creator, trading as EdekStudio. Contact for all privacy matters: edekstudio.games@gmail.com. We reply to data protection requests within one month.
Who this game is for
QuizLegion is a quiz game. Its content is suitable for everyone — there is no violence, gambling or profanity. Anyone can play, regardless of age, and we do not turn anyone away because of their date of birth.
We do ask for your year of birth when you create an account — not to exclude anyone, but because advertising and data rules differ by age. Your answer affects only which ads you see and which signals we send to advertising services.
What we collect
Account — guest play creates an anonymous identifier; signing in with Google or e-mail gives us your e-mail address (held by Google's authentication service).
Year of birth — used only to select the advertising mode.
Player profile, visible to other players — nickname, avatar, country, public six-character player code, rank and league points.
Gameplay — matches, answers, results, in-game currencies, items, achievements, friends, invitations and blocks.
Notifications — a Google-issued device token, if you allow notifications.
Game statistics — event statistics about gameplay; no nickname, e-mail or answer content.
Technical and diagnostic data (Crashlytics & Performance) — technical installation identifiers (Crashlytics Installation UUID, Firebase Installation ID), device model, operating system version, available RAM/storage, battery state, crash stack traces with technical context (screen name, turn index, interface language, config version), app launch timings, and server request latency. Approximate location is derived server-side from IP address (no GPS or fine location used).
Abuse protection — country, account age and time when a promo code is redeemed; counters of failed attempts. We do not collect device fingerprints.
Children and teenagers

⚠ Nickname, avatar, country, player code and gameplay data are collected from all players, including the youngest. Without them the game cannot show a leaderboard or find you an opponent. For younger players we do not use an advertising identifier, do not profile for advertising, and do not pass advertising consent signals to analytics.
Parents and guardians: write to edekstudio.games@gmail.com and we will show you what data we hold and delete the child's account on request.
Advertising consent
If you are 16 or over and we showed you the consent dialog, you can change your answer at any time: in-game Settings → Privacy → Advertising consent. Refusing consent does not cut you off from the game — you will see non-personalised ads.
Who we share data with
We do not sell data. We use Google Firebase (authentication, database, notifications, statistics — the game database is located in Belgium, within the EU), Google AdMob and its advertising partners, and Google Play for in-app purchases. Some of them may process data outside the European Economic Area, under standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
How long we keep it
Account data and progress — for as long as your account exists. Guest accounts are not deleted automatically, because a match can last weeks. Promo code records — up to two years. Game statistics — per Firebase Analytics settings, 14 months by default. Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) — crash stack traces and associated installation identifiers are retained for 90 days before the deletion process begins. Performance metrics (Firebase Performance Monitoring) — events associated with IP addresses are retained for 30 days; data associated with installation identifiers and de-identified performance data are retained for 60 days. You can delete your account in the game settings or by writing to us. ⚠ Your public player code stays permanently reserved, so that an old invite link never points to a different person.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa).
Changes
When we change what the game collects, we change this document first. The date at the top shows when the current version took effect.
